Introduction
This is a topic that many Yoder owners have been curious about – rust prevention.
Rust Prevention Process
Cleaning: Before applying any rust prevention products, ensure your Yoder is clean. Use a citrus-based cleaner or degreaser to wipe down the surfaces.
ACF-50 Application: Today, we're using ACF-50, a product known for its effectiveness in rust prevention. It comes in liquid and aerosol forms. Apply it generously to areas prone to rust, especially the front and lid.
Wiping and Drying: Use a soft cloth to wipe the ACF-50 evenly across the surfaces. Let it dry for about 10 minutes. You may notice a slight dulling of the paint, which is normal.
New Accessory Unboxing: Now, let's unbox a new accessory Yoder sent me – a grease tray for the front. This tray helps prevent grease buildup, staining, and rust in common trouble spots.
Installation: The grease tray is easy to install. It has foam pads against the back; you place it on the ledge. There's even a drain plug for easy maintenance.
Final Look: With the rust prevention treatment and the new accessory in place, the Yoder looks fantastic and is now well-protected.
Conclusion
I'm excited to see how the ACF-50 performs over time. Yoder recommends applying it once or twice a year, so I'll keep an eye on it and update you down the road.
