When the Yoder Smokers wood-fired oven came out for the ys480 and the ys640, I called it a game changer. A year later, I couldn’t have stated it better.

Knocked It Out Of The Park

No matter what I have cooked in the oven, it has turned out great. It’s a wood-fired oven without all the hassle of chasing temps and burning your food. I have done everything from pizza to wings and now chicken parmesan. It hasn’t failed me yet!

Set It and Forget It

One of the advantages of the Yoder oven is that you can set the temp and forget it. As someone who owns a true wood-fired oven, I can tell you that the learning curve is steep, and because you are cooking with a live fire, you have to babysit it. It’s very similar to running an offset.

90% There

With the Yoder Smokers wood-fired oven, you are 90% there without all the hassle. Is there more of that wood-fired flavor on a true wood-fire oven, yes, but it’s a ton more work and most don’t have the patience to use a true wood-burning oven.
