This no-wrap pork butt was cooked for over 17 hours, and it turned into some fantastic pulled pork!
One of the easiest cooks around
Pork is extremely forgiven, and many think you must always wrap it. Of course, it will cook quicker, but the bark on this no-wrap pork was amazing! Here’s how I did it:
Part 1
Yoder YS640s at 200F running your favorite pellets on the top rack
The rub of your choice, although I have a favorite link in the video!
Crosshatch fat cap, apply the rub
Set the Yoder at 200F Overnight. Let go for 13-14 hours
Part 2
Crank it up to 225 when it hits around 190F
Cook until you get to 204F
Let rest for 30-60 minutes
Shred
Results
Great-tasting pulled pork with a crunchy bark that you can mix in for extra flavor.
