At least once a year you want to do a Yoder Temperature Test. This temperature test allows you to calibrate the temperature on your Yoder pellet grill to ensure it's running as expected.

This test will take 3 hours start to finish

The best way to ensure your Yoder pellet grill is optimized is to do a yearly temp test. It’s easy to do, just requires a few steps and an email to Yoder support. You really only need to do this once a year, although you could do it twice if you wanted to.

Before and After Pictures Required

Here are the steps:

  • First you need to properly clean your grill and then take pictures to show it’s been cleaned.

  • For a YS640s you need to put the pit probes at 12” and 22”

  • Take a picture and start your pit

  • Temperature doesn’t matter, 250 or 300 is fine.

  • Once your pit is up to temp and stabilized, let it run for 2 hours without touching it

  • Power off and let cool

  • Take pictures

  • Send email to Yoder support and they will recommend any setting changes that are needed.
